More study rooms, more open spaces, more space to relax…

Capture d’écran 2016-03-02 à 13.13.11Survey after survey, HEC Paris students revealed they wanted more study places, more working rooms, and also nice and relaxing spaces in the library.

No less than 6 study rooms were included in the first version of the plan of our architect. They have been designed so that students can work in groups without disturbing others. They accommodate different sizes of group, from small 2-person rooms to medium rooms suitable for 4 people and a large one for up to 20 people. Each room will have a whiteboard and/or wall monitor for shared viewing, electrical outlets, tables and chairs, and wireless access.

All of the 200 study desks will enable students to plug in their laptop and the library will still provide access to 15 PC and 6 Mac. We also plan to lend laptops in addition to iPads and tablets.

Silent study spaces remain one of our main concerns, according to the wishes of students. They will consist of study desks where students can read and/or plug in a laptop and soft-seating areas where students may work informally or relax.

One more good news… the restrooms will be rebuilt!
